Unlock Amiibo Ability
Progress through the main story until you complete the Suthorn Beach area. The Amiibo option will unlock in your menu.

Open System Menu
Press the (+) button to open the pause menu. Navigate to the "System" tab deeply on the right.

Select Amiibo
Choose the "amiibo" option from the list. Follow the prompt to scan your amiibo.
